The Electoral Commission of Uganda (EC) held a key meeting with agents of all eight presidential candidates and the Uganda Police Force to review the first week of election campaigns and strengthen coordination for a peaceful process.

The discussions focused on promoting dialogue, compliance, and fairness, as the Commission urged all candidates to respect the harmonized campaign program and adhere to electoral laws.

Police representatives reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining order and protecting both candidates and the public throughout the campaign period.

All parties agreed to resolve disputes through dialogue rather than confrontation, a renewed spirit of unity that signaled hope for peaceful, transparent, and democratic elections as Uganda moved closer to polling day.
